St Joseph's School Welfare Program

At Catholic Education SA, we believe that our role is to help every child to be a thriving person, capable learner and a leader for the world God desires.

At St Joseph’s Clare we acknowledge the importance of student wellbeing for young people to engage in their education. Responding to individual needs and teaching students how to manage their wellbeing is essential to ensure our students thrive.

Our pastoral care program aims to develop the social and emotional wellbeing of all students. The program is presented weekly with a key focus each term:

Term 1 – Emotions and Wellbeing
Term 2 – Positive Relationships
Term 3 – Achievement
Term 4 – Empower

Our wellbeing coordinator leads a whole school focus on student wellbeing. Key aspects to this role include driving targeted professional development for staff, initiate whole school directions for improvement, development of the pastoral care program, parental support, communication and education with the wider school community and the provision of intervention programs.

Individual wellbeing support is available to all students. If you wish to meet with our wellbeing coordinator to discuss your child’s needs, please contact the school. Students are encouraged to seek support as needed. The coordinator is also able to link students and families to outside agencies.
